Join the Edmonton Food Council

Are you passionate about Edmonton's food community? Involved in our local food ecosystem in some way (anything from farm to plate!) and interested in shaping how our city will feed the next generation?

The Edmonton Food Council is now recruiting new volunteer members.

Our vision: Edmonton has a resilient food and agriculture system that contributes to the local economy and the overall cultural, financial, social and environmental sustainability of the city.

What we do: advise City Council on issues related to Food & Urban Agriculture, and serve as grassroots advocates for our food system.

How we do it: monthly meetings (these will be back in-person next year!) plus several hours of subcommittee work per month, for a total commitment of 5-6 hours. We're a forward-thinking group of volunteers who are excited to get things done, and conscious of the need for balance and flexibility in these types of roles!
